Wirraglen Road & Lorrimer Street Sewer Upgrade
Upgrades to existing Sewer Pump Station and sewer main
Newlands Group were contracted to perform an upgrade to the existing Wirraglen Road Sewer Pump Station (SPS) and sewer main and construct new infrastructure at Lorrimer Street to provide new sewerage infrastructure for the expanding Northern Highfields and Oakey regions.
The works at Wirraglen Road included new trunk gravity sewers, pressure rising mains, and SPS, connecting the northern side of Highfields to the existing gravity sewer network.
At Lorrimer Street, modifications were performed to the existing SPS, including modification and extension of the existing gravity sewers, construction of a new SPS and extension of additional sewer rising main to upgrade the existing rising main infrastructure.
This project was completed in a 12-month time frame.
