Dalby Hospital Fire Compliance & Hydrant Performance

Newlands was engaged by Darling Downs Health Service to ensure fire protection compliance at Dalby Hospital as building regulations evolved. This comprehensive project focused on upgrading fire main infrastructure and enhancing hydrant performance to meet stringent safety standards…

The project encompassed the installation of 1600 meters of cutting-edge poly fire main pipework, strategically placed to optimise coverage across the hospital premises. To bolster firefighting capabilities, we introduced 21 state-of-the-art fire hydrants, strategically positioned for accessibility and efficiency.

Additionally, the project included the integration of two water storage tanks and a sophisticated dual pump system, ensuring a reliable water supply during emergencies. We also upgraded 350 meters of galvanized pipework to enhance system durability and efficiency.

To further reinforce fire safety measures, 17 fire hose reels were installed throughout the hospital, ensuring rapid access to firefighting equipment when needed most.

Our team meticulously managed 21 cut overs to seamlessly integrate the new fire main while maintaining uninterrupted fire protection services at the hospital. With our commitment to excellence, we safeguarded the Dalby Hospital and its occupants for years to come.
