Jondaryan Reservoir

Newlands were contracted by Toowoomba Regional Council to design and construct a 300kL reinforced concrete reservoir and associated electrical/comms, pipework, flow control valves, and chlorination dosing infrastructure to service the Jondaryan area.

The works also included upgrading the existing access road, demolition of three existing reservoir tanks and construction of a storage shed for the chlorination equipment.

A challenge of this project was maintaining a consistent construction program through the COVID-19 pandemic with the associated procurement issues due to closures and enforced lockdowns.

This project was completed within a 12-month time frame.
