MSQ Toowoomba

The MSQ Toowoomba Accommodation Project involved the construction of a boutique specialist disability apartment building for MS Queensland, specifically designed and constructed to facilitate the needs of its residents living with Multiple Sclerosis.

The project consists of twelve private apartments, each featuring a second guest bedroom, bathroom, and private balcony. Additionally, these apartments included a comprehensive smart operating system with keypad access, voice control, and app integration.

The operating system manages various features, such as automated entry, bathroom and balcony doors, as well as lighting, automated blinds, TV, music, air conditioning, power outlets, security and cameras. The kitchen has been custom-designed to meet the tenant’s requirements, along with a height-adjustable kitchen bench that enables the sink and cooktop to be raised to the desired height.

The apartments are also supported by communal areas that provide additional facilities for the tenants. Branching off the lobby is a gym, dining and recreation area, meeting room, open planned office, managers office, public amenities, extensive storage areas and a commercial lift providing access to all levels of the threestorey apartment building.

This project was completed within 8 months.
