Walton Stores

Newlands Group proudly delivered the award-winning Walton Stores project in collaboration with Aspect Architects. The scope of work encompassed comprehensive structural and civil engineering design, as well as all on-site building works. Our team managed the development process, working closely with the client to handle town planning, compliance and securing necessary council approvals.

A key aspect of the project involved re-engineering the building to accommodate new applications, ensuring the space met evolving needs. The works were delivered in phases as each tenancy was progressively filled, allowing for a seamless transition from construction to operation.

The completed site features two retail outlets, seven dining establishments, a Credit Union Australia branch, a Westpac branch, three office spaces and designated grass and stage areas designed for outdoor entertainment, enhancing the vibrancy of the Toowoomba CBD.

Our services included demolition, asbestos removal, engineering and surveying, structural concreting, plumbing, drainage, pipeline installation, and commercial construction. As part of the works, Newlands’ engineering team re-engineered the building to meet current standards.
