Fire System Upgrade

Newlands were contracted by a local engineering firm to undertake works to the existing Louis Dreyfus grain handling facility, located at Dalby in Queensland. This project involved undertaking all the fire compliance scope while the facility remained open and fully operational. New tank installation, fire pumps and fire line reticulation were undertaken as part of these works. Challenges included working with highly reactive black soils, working in and around facility operations, and coordinating engineering inspections with the engineers.
