Dump Profile Correction
Profile correction of cell
Newlands undertook a significant project at the Hermitage Road Landfill for Toowoomba Regional Council, involving the profile correction of Cell A. Our contracted works encompassed a range of crucial tasks including cut, fill, compaction and reprofiling. The objective was to achieve the desired design levels by utilising a combination of previously interred waste and earthen fill materials.
The project scope also included essential engineering surveying, bulk earthworks, and stormwater management works. Notable achievements in this regard include stripping approximately 3,200m3 of material, cutting 58,000m3 to the required grade, filling 95,000m3 to achieve the desired levels, and hydromulching an expansive area spanning 89,00m2.
A key aspect of the project was the implementation of effective stormwater management measures for Cell A. To achieve this, Newlands constructed a variety of stormwater management structures comprising earthen, rock, and concrete elements. These structures were strategically designed to enhance the overall stormwater management capabilities of the site.
This project was completed in a 4-month time frame.
