Our client’s vision was to build and operate a safe, world-class beverage container refund terminal that educates the community and keeps Toowoomba beautiful.

A recycling craze that has grown exponentially in popularity, Containers for Change encourages individuals and businesses to bring in recycled containers to demonstrate their commitment to the environment.

Set to be one of the best facilities in Queensland, it features a quick and easy drive-thru that is safe for the whole family with an undercover shed for easy unloading, trailer access and off-street parking and queuing.

Features also include two secure sheds with heights reaching 6.4m, anticlockwise vehicle flow, installation of physical barriers between parking and queuing areas, designated pedestrian path access, CDS machines, concrete filled bollards, double-lined wide parking bays along with three impressive robotic sorting systems to split up the various eligible cans and bottles ahead of their next life.

This venture has also been successful in providing employment opportunities in the region.
