Construction of new building for Chipmunks playland
This 660m2 building was constructed from concrete tilt panels and
structural steel elements with a skillion roof. The concrete tilt panels were
cast and stood with the confines of the site, which presented a challenge
as the building was built to the boundary on all four sides.
Other works included an amenities, play room, commercial kitchen and
office. There were constructed from prefabricated timer frames and timber
joists. The whole floor are was finished off with a special epoxy flooring
finished mixed to the clients specifications. External works included a PWD
access ramp and some adjustments to the existing carpark.
This whole project was constructed while the Bernoth centre remained
open and vehicular access was maintained for the carpark directly out the
Early access was also achieved for the tenant so that they could begin
their fit-out work prior to the completion of the base build works to achieve
a tight project time frame.
