Internal refurbishment and fitout of offices for Colliers Toowoomba
Newlands were contracted to refurbish the old parole board offices to suit a new tenant with a modern office suite. Initial works comprised of internal and external demolition to create the clients desired open plan office. The project included service relocation, installation of external platform lift, removal and replacement of all external glazing, joinery in both the kitchen and desks.
There were a number of custom finishes required in the build, including a suspended timber slat ceiling feature to improve the acoustics of the space as well as external breezeway blocks and timber features to the front facade.
As part of the works Newlands also removed old accessible access from the street and installed a new suspended deck entry to extend the footprint of the existing building. This provided additional space for the client to not only socialise after work functions, but also provide a larger footprint to their boardroom when required.
This project was completed in 3-month time frame.
