We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager with a strong background in pipeline construction to join our growing team.

Working across water, sewer, rising main and other civil infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Civil Construction Manager, you will oversee the planning, delivery and successful completion of civil infrastructure projects from inception to handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage all aspects of pipeline and civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules and implementation plans to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts and costs to achieve financial performance targets.
  • Lead, support and mentor site supervision teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks and provide timely reporting on key milestones, schedules and deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Drive safety, environmental and quality outcomes while maintaining Newlands’ high standards across all project activities.

 

About You:

To be successful, you will require:

  • Proven experience managing civil infrastructure projects, with experience in pipeline, water and sewer projects highly regarded.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
  • Strong commercial and contractual management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor teams in a project environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and Driver’s Licence are essential.
