Wulguru

The Wulguru Sewer Project was one of the highest valued and most complex pipeline project undertaken by Newlands to date. The project entailed the installation of over 2.6km of sewer pipeline in varied sizes. Part of the pipeline involved the installation of pipework of a new technology that has never been installed in Australia. Contaminated water was also encountered while the installation was being completed. A water treatment facility was installed onsite and successfully used to allow the water to be treated normally in the sewer treatment plant. All of these factors made for an exciting and thought provoking project which was successfully competed by the North Queensland team.
