About the Role:
As a Civil Earthworks Supervisor, you will work alongside the Project Manager to oversee the daily operations of civil construction projects. You’ll be responsible for leading site teams, managing subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors to deliver quality civil works, including earthworks, drainage, roads, and utilities.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox meetings to maintain compliance and safety.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and risks, addressing issues as needed.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and clients for smooth project delivery.
- Maintain accurate site records and oversee resource allocation.
- Foster a positive work culture aligned with Newlands’ values.
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with expertise in bulk earthworks and subdivisions.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction or IV in Civil Construction Supervision
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction practices, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- White Card and Drivers Licence
