About the Role:
As a Project Manager at Newlands, your primary objective is to deliver projects safely and in the most cost-effective manner on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will involve a diverse portfolio of projects, including subdivisions, infrastructure, bulk earthworks and pipelaying.
Key Duties:
Reporting to the Civil Construction Manager, you will be required to:
- Manage all aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Lead a team of site supervision staff and ensure effective project progress monitoring and reporting.
- Develop project scope, schedules, and implementation plans.
- Manage project budget and costs effectively.
About You:
To be successful, you will require:
- Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent.
- General Construction Induction Card (Blue Card) or Work Safely in Construction Industry (White Card) is essential.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, planning, and cost control.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability and willingness to lead, manage, and mentor staff at all levels.
