Walton Stores Handover
The Newlands Group is excited to announce it has handed Walton Stores tenancies over to Walton Stores.
Walton Stores is Toowoomba’s finest CBD urban renewal development, comprising an historic regeneration of an unparalleled location in the heart of the city with exceptional Ruthven and Annand Street frontage.
The Newlands Group was contracted to refurbish more than 6500m2 of inner-city land and buildings to create Toowoomba’s premier casual dining, boutique retail and professional office precinct, with works commencing in August 2015.
Works included all structural and civil engineering design along with all demolition and building works on-site, with total construction costs over the course of the entire development exceeding $12m.
Walton Stores offers approximately 3700m2 of lettable spaces to strengthen Toowoomba’s CBD, blending heritage with innovation and work with convenience.
Walton Stores has already attracted a range of high quality tenants including Westpac and iThink Property, and restaurants including Full of Life Organics, Hello Harry, Junk and 2Birds.
Toowoomba laneway dining culture has been brought to life with café lined pedestrian pathways providing access to the heart of Walton Stores while enhancing CBD pedestrian connectivity.
A green space at the centre of the Walton Stores development will be a family friendly area for everything from small gatherings to major events, featuring a purpose-built stage and a large 6m x 4m high resolution outdoor digital screen.
The design of Walton Stores also provides the potential for future events such as pop-up markets.
